PUBLIC NOTICE
HOUSE - CLINIC RENOVATION PROJECT FOR:
JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
4152 HIGHWAY 42
BASSFIELD, MS 39421
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Jefferson Davis County School District until 1:00 p.m., local time, on March 17, 2026, at 4135 Highway 42, Bassfield MS, 39421 for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the Jefferson Davis County School District House - Clinic Renovation Project, located in Bassfield, Mississippi. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m., local time, on March 17, 2026 at 4135 Highway 42, Bassfield MS, 39421.
The project consists of the renovation of an existing single-family residence of approximately 1,429 gross square feet into a school-based and community health clinic. Work includes interior demolition and clean-out; selective structural and exterior repairs; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing modifications; ADA and life-safety upgrades; construction of public and private staff restrooms; new interior partitions, finishes, doors, and hardware; limited site work including ADA parking, exterior lighting, and signage; and final cleaning and project turnover.
Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and have a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of the bidder, or a certified bid bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed by the State of Mississippi and signed by an agent resident in Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount.

All Bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference to be held at 4135 Highway 42, Bassfield, MS, 39421 on March 3, 2026 AT 1:00 p.m., local time. We will view the site after reading the agenda.
Bidders shall comply with the President’s Executive Order Numbers 11246 and 11375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
Bidders shall comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act and the Davis Bacon Act.
Bidders shall furnish a certification of prior work under Executive Order 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity).
Contract award will be made to the lowest and best bidder and Jefferson Davis County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
