PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF SALE OF
USED COUNTY INVENTORY

Notice is hereby given that the Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids for the sale of used county inventory. The Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids at P O Box 1317, Prentiss, Mississippi 39474 or delivered to the Jefferson Davis County Administration Building at 2426 Pearl Avenue, Prentiss, Mississippi 39474 until the hour of 1:00 pm o’clock on Friday, September 18, 2026. The bids will be opened and read aloud at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026 at which time the Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors will sell said inventory in “as is” condition. The inventory will be sold to the highest and best bidder for cash for the sale of surplus used inventory, to-wit:

The inventory can be inspected by appointment by contacting the Purchase Clerk at 601-792-4336 or at purchasing@co.jefferson-davis.ms.us.
A sealed envelope is required with “BID FOR SURPLUS INVENTORY” clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. The bid inside the envelope should state the item of inventory, the amount of the bid, bidder’s name, mailing address, and telephone number.
There is no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, and, specifically, there is no warranty of merchantability or fitness made by the Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors, or any of their officers, agents and employees. The surplus inventory will be sold on an “as is” basis. Bidder must include a separate price for each item of inventory.
If a bidder’s bid is accepted, then the bidder shall pay and pick up the inventory within ten working days afterwards. The Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to revoke their acceptance of a bid, if they find that a bidder has not complied with these requirements. The
Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted and to waive informalities.
